Hundreds of feet of cables were already installed and running through the existing wireway, located in a persistently damp environment that had caused severe rusting.
Tearing out and reinstalling all those cables? That would mean significant downtime, labor costs, and disruption to operations.
The Slide-Around Solution
Instead of forcing the client into an expensive and time-consuming replacement process, Qube engineered a custom wireway enclosure designed to slide around the existing cables. This innovative approach meant the new enclosure could be installed without disturbing a single wire.
The client understood this custom solution wouldn’t meet NEMA 4 specifications, but that wasn’t the priority. The goal was to protect the cables from the damp conditions while avoiding the massive undertaking of cable removal and reinstallation.

Unlike the metal wireway that had rusted out, the new custom enclosure was specifically designed to handle the damp conditions that had eaten away at the old one.
